Watermelons can be top tier, can also be flop, it's a hit or miss

Idk much about tropical fruits

I'd also add that store bought berries are extremely overrated and taste bland compared to wild ones

For some reason I enjoy the rind of the watermelon so much more than the flesh. Even when compared to a perfectly firm and sweet watermelon 

For tropical fruits, I love Durian, mangosteens, longans and dragon fruit

In Malaysia we eat Guava with salt and plum powder which is actually nice

Guava on its own is kinda whack and is pretty firm
