Thoughts on Lucid Dreaming

I have dream journaled for about 500 days now and practice lucid dreaming on and off, I just wanted to know what you guys thought of the whole thing and if you had any particular methods you use.

never did it
i also rarely dream
when i dream its usually apocalyptic shit or smth terrifying which ends in sleep paralysis so i dont know how lucid dreaming would help

I've lucid dreamt like 3 times or so on accident and before anything truly awesome happens I just wake up 

Also always happens when I have very bad sleep issues

Lucid dreaming is actually a really good way t get over sleep paralysis
