I plan to get on Dutasteride

Dutasteride reduces DHT by 97%

I'm not having hair loss but I believe its important to always be prepared and use dutasteride or finasteride as a way to PREVENT hair loss from ever happening.

Its better to PREVENT hair loss in the first place than letting it happen and then treating it/damage control

I also believe that reducing DHT levels is KEY when it comes to ANTI AGING of the skin. I believe East Asian males have smooth n youthful skin mainly because they have low DHT levels.

Yes I am aware that DHT matters for pheromone production, but I am not meeting any women anyway so I dont need my pheromone production to be high. If i'm ever gonna meet women though then I can just take a break from dutasteride and have high pheromones again.

I also believe TESTOSTERONE is a much more important hormone than DHT.

is there a way to know if you have low DHT without going to the doctor

What hormone do you believe is more important for the male organism? TESTOSTERONE or DIHYDROTESTOSTERONE (DHT) ? @MVP @noi_avorrit

No. Anyone who tells you "If you have XYZ trait then youre low DHT" is bullshitting you and is just retarded broscience. To know your DHT levels only way is to do a blood test

Good question, I'm not really sure as I'm not good at the hormones topic, but I'd say testosterone as if I'm not mistaken dht is produced from it. Also excessive dht causes baldness if I'm not mistaken.

Yes. A bit of the systems testosterone gets converted to DHT through 5ar (5-androreductase)

What dutasteride do is it blocks 5ar from functioning. So then your testosterone will not get converted to DHT anymore which actually means you get to keep more of your testosterone and thus have higher testosterone levels on dutasteride (because less testosterone gets converted to DHT)

Dutasteride reduces DHT by 97 %.

DHT  have some positive effects on male organism  but the major negative effect is hair loss and enlarged prostate.

DHT is mainly important during puberty (to masculinize voice, grow your cock etc) then after age 20 you have no reason to want high DHT in your body as it will only cause hairloss and prostate problems
So Dutasteride is a Anti-Hairloss medication

If youre in Puberty you NEED DHT (voice , cock growth, overall virilisation)

After puberty you dont need DHT and then it only has negative effects like hair loss

DHT is only important during puberty

Interesting, thank you for the information. Sorry for my ignorance, but what is the difference between dutasteride and finasteride though? Does finasteride have the same effects as dutasteride?

Also, if DHT is naturally produced by the body what negative effects could bring not having it?

They both inhibit 5ar

But Dutasteride is stronger than Finasteride

Dutasteride reduces DHT by 97 %

Finasteride reduces DHT by 67-70 %

@noi_avorrit If you take Dutasteride then you could even do a TRT dose of Pharmaceutical Testosterone and still not experience hair loss. Because Dutasteride is quite strong of a Anti-DHT medication.

Interesting, thank you! It seems that even though Finasteride is less strong than Dutasteride it still seems effective against hair loss, according to comments I saw on looksmax and old lookism. I think I'll use finasteride when the first symptoms of hair loss kick in.

Interesting though. Impressive how strong can Dutasteride get. However it must give some side effect as DHT is naturally produced by the body so it must have a function.

Only side effect (that only happens in SOME people, not everyone) is reduced libido and reduced erection hardness. Because DHT is a libido hormone that makes you horny
