Is the gym actually worth it?

I live in a super convenient area with a gym up the road, should I buy a membership or not? Pretty skinny but it's just been an itch that I've needed to scratch for a while now.  Huh

work out for 1 year until your progress starts to diminish and then just do minimal effort maintenance
unless u have great genetics or plan on roiding
the effort to achieve and maintain a good natural physique is not worth it for most people
people say they enjoy it but they are lying to themselves, it’s mostly a huge waste of time and isn’t enjoyable
just get a little above untrained so you aren’t an entirely weak little faggot

I reckon you could maybe do it for 2 years considering most people are absolute retards when it comes to training in the beginning. I have trained for like 2 years quite hardcore and I barely even train right now, I just do some pullups pushups and lateral raises with dumbbells in my room and it is fully enough to maintain my physique, I also don't really notice any additional compliments etc. on the physique of my friends that have been training for 6+ years compared to mine, would probably even say they get less since they reek of tryhard energy whereas I don't.
