I haven’t read the news in over a year

From the age of 12, I would check the news daily. The BBCnews top 10 most read was my lifeline.

But in recent years, I began to have my doubts. Nothing I read could be empirically verified by myself. I was having to take their* word for it.

*(“their”: referring to multi-billionaire dollar industries, owned by some of the world’s most powerful organisations, dedicated to upholding the status quo and maximising profits.)

Long story short: the Israeli-Hamas fiasco was my breaking point. No longer would I allow a multi-billion dollar industry to pollute my mind with events that may or may not be occurring thousands of miles from my home; no longer would i allow enforcers of the status quo to be my daily educators; no longer would I be a host to the latest mins-parasites dreamt up by ghoulish technocrats. It was time to turn off and tune out.

Never have I felt so glad as to have done that than today, when my parents began telling me about “Peanut the squirrel”…

That’s arguably far worse seeing as:

1. Algorithm rewards the most emotive, provocative, political stories
2. It’s filled with people like me (mentally-unwell, house-bound twerps who have a desire to possess and share opinions (I believe these are referred to as “hot takes” in tweety land) on every conceivable topic) and encourages their unhealthy behaviour

1. dont use the 'for you' algorithm garbage page. just follow good accounts and that's all the content you'll ever see
2. don't follow these people

Such a perfect place without corruption apparently

Not all Leaks were about war. A lot of them were about corruption.

So you expect me to believe Russia is blameless in the global oligarch game.

Also it is not true that Russia has launched no invasions

wikileaks focus was leaking docs of the military industry of certain countries, agencies doings, worldwide espionage, details of surveillance programs, government crimes, and much more, all which were kept away from the public. it just happens that your favourite country was responsible for a lot of it my friend

I was on their side very early on when Collateral Murder was released. I thought he was on the noble mission to debunk The Crusaders.

However as years went on and Russia did more and more evil, and the likes of Assange and Snowden said nothing to condemn it, I realized they were in the pocket of Sergey Lavrov and the gang

Snowden is in Russia right now. when you don't have the NSA trying to delete your virtual trails and the CIA trying to delete your existence like they did with JFK it becomes really reasonable to think maybe that country is not that bad
