if I find out someone unfollows me on social media it ruins my day

I stopped looking at follower count eons ago

I only send memes to my close friends and they send memes back that’s it

for me its an ego thing. as in, imagine that youre supporting someone you think is a friend by liking their stuff and giving them validation but then you find out that they dont even follow you anymore? it feels like being stabbed in the back

so my issue isnt about follower count, I dont care about that. its more about reciprocity or something along those lines
