Btw, now that he is like 16 you can understand he has a problem if you speak with him for longer than 10 seconds. 

So, I'm not sure how high functioning he is. Obviously, the spectrum is pretty large.

there's a HUGE overlap between autism and low IQ

that being said, heaps of 'autistic' kids grow out of it by the time they're 20 or so

the whole thing is a sham, imo. it's such a bullshit disease; the best proof of this is when 'autists' with self awareness, who can functional normally, have been so brainwashed by society(???) that they just say they're 'masking' their symptoms. ??? that is way more in line with OCD than anything. if you're 'autistic', and you're so good at disguising it that nobody can tell.. you get the gist... sorry for going off on a tangent, but it's total crap man

hopefully your cousin gets better, there's a high chance he will, unless he's mentally retarded
