I've read less than 2 dozen books my whole life
#1
Bear in mind I'm 63 and majority of these were required reading

From order of oldest to most recent

Where the red fern grows
Call of the wild
Tom sawyer
Flowers for algernon
A separate peace
Lord of the flies
Romeo and juliet
Catcher in the rye
The crucible
Macbeth
Hamlet
Henry 5th
Pit and pendulum
A tale of two cities
The chocolate war
Fahrenheit 451
Wuthering heights
Brave new world

Read voluntarily:
Do androids dream
Neuromancer
Metamorphosis

Attempted to read/skimmed:
Don quioxte
Dorian gray
1984
Notes from the underground(reminded me of mvp)
Swanns way
Odyssey
Illiad
Beowulf
Fineegans wake
Ulysses
Starship troopers
FaustĀ

I often make references to works I've never read like 1984 or animal farm to bolster my arguments or make allusions to difficult works by joyce and faulkner to pretend like I'm well read. I can do this because I have deep understanding of literature through passive cultural osmosis. I feel like I know more about these works than people who have read them multiple times. I will often notice puns in Shakespeare that websites made by academics get wrong.
