it was too legit, much better way to digest and receive information because everything had to compete to be included in each issue and u can choose exactly what type of magazine/audience u want to be
now we have to sift through mountains of garbage to find something remotely relevant and most scientific info is paywalled gg
idk about that, maybe it feels this way because your array of options was more limited (sort of a paradox of choice application). now availability of data surpasses your ability to consume it and many end up e-hoarding (I found out that's a thing pretty recently).
