People also tend to have "great ideas" while drunk or high on marijuana, but they quickly realise that they were just being stupid once they've sobered up.
But psychdelics give a stronger sensation of profoundness; so, when people have "great ideas" while on psychedelics, they tend to continue to believe in their stupid ideas long after they've sobered up.

Psychdelics just mimic the feeling of having a "huge realisation", without actually providing anything of value. I experienced this firsthand while on shrooms, and the experience was pretty lame once I realised that the drug was just causing my mind to get flooded with junk-ideas masquerading as something important.

hallucinogens causes non-dualistic impression by spoiling bodily agency. they put you to sleep, so one is to function in a dream, zombie state while awake. since their agency is done so, distinguishing between internal to external is weakened, so their thoughts might appear as from an enlightened source, which is a form of bias induced by communal expectations (of attaining enlightenment by intoxication.) its a common theme among psychonauticfags, due to their their new found 'borderlessness of self' (a contradiction) to fall in love and talk solipsism constantly. given that they all do this (become solipsists and engage monistic talk) they just sound incredibly funny to outsiders
