You need to know how to read blueprints if you are the "manager" of the whole project or that group within the project, construction workers that read those are educated and their salary is considerably higher than the rest of the crew, they pretty much navigate construction workers and tell them what to do. Have you ever talked with a construction worker before? Those people are the lowest of the low, no other physical job has that many low iq people in one place, I doubt many of them can even read.
