btw i fully expect the modenr financial system to be recreated on chain with institutions + intermediaries + government just like you say. it's  mainly about effiecincy gains from interoperability + unifomrity and intermediaries becming optional in certain contexts

the modern financial system will collapse, what remains of it will be forced to adapt to bitcoin. bitcon has revolutionized the concept of money. decentralization and anonymization are the core principles of bitcoin. if it's possible for the government to directly interfere in any way, there's no point it might as well just be another form of the digital currency that already exists today.
