reminder pp was shilling for crypto for years, repeating these pros of it daily: - Altruist - 13-02-2024

- no intermediaries/low cost
- complete anonymity/privacy and absolute safety

(btw, we're pretending his obsession with it has nothing to with his greed and awareness that his actual skills aren't exactly gonna make him rich, and getting rich is every 25 yo+ virgin's last hope of getting quality pussy /cock, in his case/)

how was perpetually-smirking my pet responding to that obviously flawed psychotic argumentation? he was saying the following (he didnt have to try really hard because it takes an iq of cca 105 to realize the obvious):
- there are only no intermediaries and fees because the market is not big enough yet, similarly to how you don't need an entire chain of middlemen to give 50 EUR to your friend; once the market grows, it cant function without an entire infrastructure of institutions, platforms and channels enabling it to work anymore, with every single one of those demanding fees for its services
- complete anonymity/privacy and absolute safety and independence from the state and its institutions are mutually exclusive, since you can't organize this entire scheme to be inaccessible to the government and the judiciary, but then expect them to jump in when someone hacks your e-wallet and suddenly have all the info needed to track the perpetrator (here, we are also pretending guys whose biggest financial transaction of their lives was closing their bank account and withdrawing all 350 EUR they had deposited on it are having serious financial losses by just having to pay the fees the evil banks are charging for managing their accounts, and only care about crypto to get rid of those costs)

how did pp react when the obvious started happening:
- platforms for trading crypto and those providing e-wallet related services becoming more and more unreliable and shady,
- slowly introducing intermediary fees and
- started turning out to be nothing but elaborate scams targeting gullible retards trying to make a fortune out of symbolic allowance their parents were giving them by mouse-clicking on sites whose authors realized all it took to convince the said retards that entire scheme was legit was to fill it with acronyms of acronyms of acronyms, feeding said retards the delusion that they actually learned and know something about this stuff and became financial experts (unlike the average, financially illiterate person!), despite them not even being able to name 3 major branches of the government and the guy who introduced such a structure to modern states
- news of cryptards getting robbed of their fantasy money by grupations of hackers and technologically savy people who saw the chance they couldn't miss started popping up in the media globally on a weekly basis?

he started denying he and all the other psychotic crypto shills have ever even used those arguments in favor of crypto currencies, and that that's not why crypto is so amazing at all

who could have possibly seen this coming, you're asking yourself? absolutely everyone with half a brain and a source of income not based on their parents' good will or minimum wage jobs

p.s. if your knowledge about the "system" is so non-existent you can't tell me who montesquieu was and why is he relevant without googling it beforehand, just don't bother responding to this thread

there will be layers that will be fast with low fee if one decides to use it as currency. but currently no one is holding bitcoin to use as a currency, it's primary purpose is a deflationary store of a value.

government doesn't need to be involved. security of your assets is entirely your responsibility. i know it's a hard concept to wrap your head around for someone dependent on institutions. even so, there are various security measures and methods that will prevent erroneous transfers, it's not a problem.

all of those shitcoins and shady exchanges have nothing to do with bitcoin. when something is valuable and popular, bad people will exploit it. this is the fault of people not educating themselves on these matters and choosing to go in blindly.

none of these are problems inherent to bitcoin. you just listed a bunch of easily preventable crimes related to crypto

btw i fully expect the modenr financial system to be recreated on chain with institutions + intermediaries + government just like you say. it's  mainly about effiecincy gains from interoperability + unifomrity and intermediaries becming optional in certain contexts

the modern financial system will collapse, what remains of it will be forced to adapt to bitcoin. bitcon has revolutionized the concept of money. decentralization and anonymization are the core principles of bitcoin. if it's possible for the government to directly interfere in any way, there's no point it might as well just be another form of the digital currency that already exists today.
