I used to think this but the only actually interesting jobs in the job market (besides being CEO of your own company) are PhD required jobs where you do academic research but in industry and get paid well for it. Go look at the interesting jobs at nVidia or Anthropic, they all require PhDs or people who dropped out of PhDs and have relevant research

But this is just cope from someone who doesn't have a PhD. Having a PhD means you're a specialist in the field and it also means you're really smart in general 

Also IQ means nothing, stuff like emotional intelligence and empathy matters more than some made up number. IQ tests are also inherently racially biased towards White people btw
