it offers the dumbest most pedestrian and unimaginative explanations for the enigmatic aspects of the first movie. just a completely pointless and unnecessary sequel that resolves nothing from the first film, doesn't add anything new and just shows us old dudes ambling around bow legged and in wheelchairs.
robot get pregnant, i am very philosophically profound french arteest
theres nothing to resolve from the first movie, since its based on a literary critique, and the movie is amazing because it is even more on point and visually explicit on how dead as in synthetic and infertile said hellish 'cyberpunk' is, beginning from the very initial scenes where k finds a flower in the midst of grey toxic land next to a dead tree, until k hops into the flying 'car' and its shown below to us the massive soulless structures with life and green nowhere to be seen, just grey brutalism. the replicant rachael that dates deckard by the end of blade runner 1982 is by no mistake, not by name, or by getting pregnant which is revealed in the sequel, since she getting pregnant is allusive to the biblical rachel, for in the biblical story rachel is incapable of bearing a child until God grants her the gift to do so, and that in the movie is mentioned by wallace, the blind technocrat industrialist that is behind the production of 'replicants' in the movie and his mentioning of such biblical passage is in the context that he plays as an antagonist and being contrary of, for he mentions God but he pretends to be 'godlike' and seeks to create something that is not only automata but capable of bearing life, which in the movie, by the child already existing, being ana stelline, is the miracle signifying hope (so life) in a dead and stagnated world, and thats a contrast to wallaces wish for shes something that he cannot do but thinks could be a key for what we wants to. deckard role in the movie is similar to that of geppetto in pinocchio, however instead of k becoming something 'real' as in a real man instead of being merely a replicant, and so the child of deckards and rechael that he thought he was all along for he was confused by the memories of stelline that were implanted as his, he instead discovers the truth when seeking his blurry identity, and in turn gets deckard to meet then his true child and daughter, that was lost to deckard until that point
