what's interesting is even though I am completely aware of this at some level, it still is 100% true. I think I am having good genius level ideas while also simulatasneous knowing at a higher leve that they are all fucking retarded
ill have crazy intensive adventures around the room and thinking about random shit (I then forgot about immedsitately afterwards) then I look at the clock and like only 2 minutes have gone by. get distracted by everything even when being extremely mindful. all activities take more effort to do if you think about them conciosuly, very forgetful, I imagine this is what it feels like to have adhd. holy fuck this has to be bad for your brain. stoners are stooopid. lol. random bouts of giggling when having one of these mega (read:shit) ideas about mundane things

that's exactly how mushrooms were for me after the peak wore off: head filled with a constant buzz of nonsense ideas. was quickly very annoying and i was just sitting around waiting for it to wear off so i could drive home

i used it as escapism. edibles last longer i think. it gave temporary relief and made everything feel easier to tolerate for a few hours, but the hangovers after were awful. everything became deeper, more emotional, and immersive. it made overthinking and imagination feel entertaining instead of painful for a bit, which is probably why it was so easy to keep going back to it despite the crash afterwards. it’s not worth it, psychedelics are probably way better
