Granted I will not be caught and my identity will not be revealed. I think it would be really interesting. It would create important insightful discourse that I would enjoy seeing. The news would blow up. It would also be quite funny. If somebody else threw a blob of paint at the Mona Lisa I wouldn’t really care, except that I might wish it was me. Would you throw a splot of paint at the mona lisa, given the chance?

The more outrageous the form of vandalism the more effective it is. For example I would pull my pants down and unleash my explosive diarrhea on the painting. Later I can say it was a form of protesting against the irresponsible use of manure by industries that lead to greenhouse gas emissions. Everyone will be impressed by your badass power move, and if anything you draw attention to the forever rotting in a museum artifact that you vandalized.
