I met a redditor IRL before; he seemed to have this fixation with seeming smart and using big words/speaking fancy. im guessing redditors love imagining themselves as really smart and sophisticated, I get it

it was cringey talking to him but I imagine other people also think im cringe when they talk to me (but im cringey for different reasons)

do redditors/midwits etc do self-deprecation? seems like these types always take themselves really seriously lol. OTOH edgelords like the types who post here and in places like 4chan seem to be ok with self-deprecation. for example; I can do an unflattering impression of myself (IE acting like some schizo autist) and find it funny, but I could never imagine a redditor having the self-awareness or the humility to do an unflattering impression of themselves acting like a sanctimonious sperg. these kind of differences are pretty amusing

autistic incels who tryhard to look normal, become redditors. they live in denial of some sort. they might think if they keep up looking normal and positive, somehow someone would like them.
everything they write down is wrote knowing a girl will read it.
this mob of incels, took over the whole website. if anyone stops pretending, they will be banned instantly. they all know that they will be alone forever, but they just keep pretending, it gives them satisfaction.
there are few subs, which i forbid myself to browse that normal people use.

this is a really interesting theory, although I guess its kind of obvious now that you point it out. I think theres some truth to this
