Yes a little bit
I mean it just helps with everything
I have no energy to jack off before bed so it helps with semen retention, sugar intake, mental clarity
I think it may be one of the most helpful lifemaxxs out there right now
You’re crashing your metabolism. Fine if you want to be a human sloth I guess
Wtf
Explain
When you starve yourself you’re causing major metabolic stress on the body. High cortisol levels will decrease testosterone production, metabolism and immune function among others. You might get endorphins and with cortisol this could make you feel a sort of euphoria/runner’s high. I’ve also read cortisol has some anti inflammatory effects, but high cortisol is obviously not sustainable - it’s a survival mechanism for periods of acute stress.
Fasting will shift your cell’s metabolism from glucose metabolism to beta oxidation (fat breakdown). While you want muscles and some other body parts to burn fat at rest ideally most of your organs are burning glucose. Apparently the oxygen demand can be too high when lots of your cells are burning fat and free fatty acids can accumulate in the cell and impair any kind of oxidation (linked to metabolic disease, cancer, diabetes etc.)
Fasting could lower the amount of toxins (which also lower metabolism along with many other problems) that bacteria in your gut are producing which could make you feel better, but eating food that avoids this is better than eating yourself (your organs, muscles etc).
I’ve also read that the liver doesn’t have enough protein to detoxify properly when fasting, especially estrogen.
I would personally never fast, even if I was fat. And by fast I mean chronic fasting, not fasting for short periods every now and then. Crashing is inevitable and the damage you do to your body could have long lasting effects.
