they use the books for spell casting, one example is bibliomancy, where they dont read the book, they take quotes out of context and use them such as for 'protection' or something externally oriented, most of the times bound to foretelling, and that is applied most of the times in a very self-serving way. theres too numerology that they both share in common. in numerous times ive seen muslims trying to prove the "divinity" of the quran by numerology, which is nuts and has been dissected by orthodox christian thinkers

true, but its not what im touching with this thread. the muslims tend to see repeating numbers where there is none, and they say those patterns in the texts are miracles, that numerology however is arbitrarily selected, wholly inaccurate, and forbidden. id say that anyone trying to do the same with the bible is ill-intentioned too, but one thing that the bible does demonstrate are cross references. the totality of the cross references in the bible are beyond human ability to date
