Despite being an award-bait movie, the Green Book is a really good movie.

I might sound like a soycuck for saying this but the plot on racism was unironically portrayed really fucking well.

And ofc the casting and way it was shot was really gud. Huge contrast to the Green Mile. Similar title and similar SJW vibes but the cinematography was genuinely yucky. Everything was so grimey and slimes, the characters felt like cheap caricatures and those close up shots of John and his drenched in sweat face was vomit inducing honestly. It added to the whole grimey aspect to the movie but tbh I'm just not a fan.

Making movie characters one dimensional caricatures is the most common thing that pisses me off. Its fine if its a movie that requires a lot of comic relief but to involve serious topics with said characters just makes the whole thing a bust. 

Diary of the Wimpy Kid used these characters well because they movie was a feel-good whimsical plot for young adults and kids 

Conversely good characters such as this show and whiplash = awesome. If you are constantly trying to guess what a character is thinking about, his thoughts, his motives and you are completely hooked then that's a good character. 

I felt that way with the Fletcher A LOT.

i basically saw the whole movie on youtube shorts, last week the algorithmz pestered me with 100 clips (my fault, i watched each one in it's entirety) over the same grating sentimental score. a couple scenes were kinda funny, i like viggo - but that clip you posted is cringe as fuck. that nigger cant act
