early and mid 200s, the period of buying/burning video games for ps1 consoles from guys secretly selling them for 2-3 EUR on the market next to oldcels selling their home-grown vegetables. so fucking beautiful

god i wish i had just as much variety as you did, it would've served me so well, but i just didnt have the intrinsic motivation to seek out things...

how old were you when you played civ II? from my experience with strategy games, they're hard to learn and hard to get into at all

my childhood videogame experience consisted of playing mortal kombat games over and over with friends -- always on my own PS2 -- because fighting games with friends are one of the top tier choices when you're a kid and it makes you competitive af. Then i'd mess around in GTA VC and SA once in a while (altho literally everyone played these)



I also remember my PS2 was modified so you could run pirated games on it, so i just bough empty CDs and installed games on them lel, never bought any games (although imagine it hadn't been this way, i'd walk into a videogame store and be mesmerized by all the games you played being up on display - i wouldn't have missed out on them...)

i was born in the first half of the 90s

yeah, mortal combat and tekken are legendary too. i loved scorpion and yoshimitsu

gta too, but i never got into it too much for some reason

need for speed, pes, and civ are familiar... I used to play these a lot. There was a need for speed java game for those phones with buttons in the 00s, I used to play that a lot. Keep my head under the pillow and pretend im sleeping but in reality playing vidya on my 2 inch phone screen.

I feel that, suddenly you remember all of these details about a childhood setting, just from a mere gameplay video

My goal is to find this same excitement in my adult life now, maybe we should just play videogames before going on trips with other ppl and it would feel just as good
