A junkie offended me
#1
I was waiting for the bus and some junkie came up to me and asked for money

He called me his brother and stuff and since I'm weak to this kind of strategy I obliged

I reached into my pocket and gave him my bus ticket change.

Granted, it wasn't a lot, it was about .8 euro, or so, iirc.

His response "You know what I'll buy with this, I'm gonna get myself a stake, some wine, and come back to give you the change. Jackass"

I just lost my words. I just said something that roughly translates to "yeah, you are super" and didn't dare to look around because he humiliated me in front of everyone.

I'm not giving shit to beggars again. I've said this before but at that moment I didn't really believe it. Now I truly do. Beggars are scum.

I thought about this later. I should have gotten my money back. It takes some time to condition yourself to act in certain a way, because yes, by nature I'm pussy and I avoid confrontation, obviously.

those guys were clearly drug users AND gypsies

it's like the worst people to give money to

but this guy, in particular, might have been going through withdrawal and gotten mad at me for not giving him enough to buy his next dose

shouldn't feel bad about not giving, there are other ways to help people in need, entertaining panhandlers is probably one of the worst ways
