Well not really broad daylight because it was at an underground convenience store at one of the main metro stations here. She dropped her keys near me, I picked them up and jokingly was about to put them in my pocket but then she was like "no!" (she didn't seem to get the joke at first) and I said I was just kidding and handed them to her, she laughed and said thank you
I went to play my sports betting picks of the day + lottery, handed them over to the cashier, paid, also got some blue kombucha, then I asked the cashier if I could loiter around for a bit inside and drink and she said sure
At that point the same woman who had dropped her keys (who I thought had left by this point) came up to me and started asking me about what I had just bet on, etc, also pretended like she wanted to know about the drink I was drinking but it was really just an excuse to talk to me more
I immediately noticed something off about her, like she was on some kinda drugs, she was talking to me and it all just felt very loopy and fast-paced, at some point she told me that she was put on some painkillers cuz she hurt her rib but I think it might've been just to conceal the fact that she was a druggie
She commented that I had a different accent and had very refined mannerisms and she guessed I was American, she was sure I wasn't from Canada but I am. I then found out she was Greek and I told her I was too (well, mostly) and she was shocked and said "No offense but I would have never guessed that, I thought you were Middle Eastern, maybe Bulgarian?" (She commented that Middle Eastern men keep their hair short like mine, and have facial hair like mine, etc). She then commented on how tall I was and my "wide" shoulders which was wtf cuz mine are seriously just average (I guess it's the winter coat) and asked me if I played any sports, etc
Anyway not gonna go through all the details of the interaction but by the end of it she told me, "well, maybe I will see you at the Greek parade in March, but you can also take down my number if you want..." I told her I was seeing someone (which she then told me she could have guessed by looking at me) but that I could be friends with her and she didn't seem too disappointed, I think she was just happy to get my number at all.
