it seems like normgroids pride themselves on their "rational" thinking abilities and also ability to think outside of the box; but in reality it seems like normies are basically terrified of truly independent thought. IOW IMO its ok to be an NPC as long as youre basically aware of this and have no pretensions about being an independent thinker, but its not ok to be an NPC but be convinced that youre some cutting edge intellectual, which is something that I feel describes a decent amount of normies
