Have you ever owned a luxurious item?

I have a very old and valuable watch, also a pure gold necklace that my grandma gave me.

Two pairs of Prada shoes (genuine), $900+ CAD each

Terrible quality, get destroyed in two wears

I'm gonna be buying only Skechers from now on. Only effortless chads like @AntonioJuraz wear those

I realized I was too much of a tryhard before

Time to go lowkey

do you think the terrible quality thing is on purpose? sort of like a "we're so fancy we're cheap" kind of move?

That's an interesting take, and might be the case

The ones I bought were not from the runway collection (which are only made in Italy afaik, and I figure are way higher quality).

Their other things (which are still turbo-expensive) are made in Vietnam mostly. But the quality is apparently horrible.

They do look really nice though.

my dad has a pretty old seiko. 70s - 80s model

I wonder if it could cost over $500 today (most seikos cost around $200), considering it's a rare model you cannot find, or it lost all its value since its a cheap brand with no demand.

considering my dad is bedridden from stroke, and I am the next person with the largest wrists in the family, I think the watch belongs to me now, so that's why I commented on that item.
