video games technology has not advanced since 2004 (give it 2008 when everyone has it)

this forum technology is ~20 yrs old

html websites run on ~25 yrs old technology, video is fine on ~15 yrs old

word processing/email is joke and was the same in year 1990

srs a lifehack is to always buy halfway to retro computer technology

my hunch is that computer has reached near-final form, and that future advancement will be in other type of technology like vr and ai

depends on the coders. I've compared different video websites on different hardware and honestly YouTube is disappointing. many videogames that are released are not as optimized as they should be, and yeah you're right, there's this Xbox 360 vibes to any game to date which means it didn't truly 'improve' (not that I care)

you should own a low specs laptop and never use it unless you travel in order to prolong its shitty lifespan and have a mid-specs desktop for heavy-duty work

didn't think of computer intensive work like animating, though there will probably be a ~10$/month cloud service for that in <5 yrs

i have a laptop i use only for running alt accounts
