the chess dillema

I'm confidently better than 90% of the players I'm matched against, but I'm bad enough to be able to blunder my way to a loss from a winning position or lose on time to someone blitzing moves because I'm not good enough to take advantage of it.

So, I'm stuck at playing bad players, who do random shitty openings, often blunder, quit when they are losing to run out of time, and other shitty situations that make chess not enjoyable.

So do I play and get better or just give cuz this is lame af and a waste of time. I always feel like that when I pick chess.

Idk sounds like you are not better than 90% of players then

narcy delusions

you’d be playing better players if you were as good as you think you are

sounds like you need more experience. consider doing some chess puzzles and the such also watching the ai play and see the 'perfect' moves to do in your situations

I'm not narcy

I was 1700 and stopped playing and now I'm down to 1300 after I started again

I'm clearly more experienced and knowledgeable than the scrubs I'm playing.

I lost 4-5 games and my elo dropped massively because of inactivity.

Now I get 7-12 points per win but lose too often to level up fast and play better people.
