MyBB or Xenforo?

I like myBB because it's what I'm used to, but if it's what BEBE wants I vote for xenforo anyway. I've seen xenforo sites that look really nice because of their design.

another xenforo plus is the option to leave messages on people's profiles, I liked that on LT.

I feel similar to you, although I only feel as a difference between mybb and xenforo the nostalgic trait of mybb as I didn't create accounts on either version but remember mybb from very late 2018 and 2019. So I'd say the same thing, if BEBE (@"зайчик" ) wants xenforo then it will be so.

Xenforo is way more friendly-user and well optimized than mybb tbh.
It would improve the interface and user's experience a lot and that would make the forum much more active than is right now.
Also, with xenforo the ignore function would work 100% so with that, forum users could finally ignore those low-effort, 24/7 spam threads from the same braindead schizos who are flooding the forum with his mental diarrhea in form of threads.

Now that ye state the ignore function I think having a functional one would reduce the number of bans since people would just ignore whoever they disliked without needing to ban the person in question. Although ignoring could hurt the ignored persons as well in some cases tho.


Tbh not all of us like modern formats I'd say, I in fact prefer the old internet specially anything pre 2012, I think the internet before html5 was more intuitive and in some cases easier to use. It was also less resource hungry as modern browsers seem to take up a lot of ram.

There are modern MyBB themes that can be used. No need to transition to Xenforo when the forum is already generally functional.

i guarantee this forum would be 10x more alive (even now, when youve missed the opportunity to update the site for almost 3 years now) if you just permabanned mvp and updated the site to have a xenforo ui. op is unfortunately a midwit oldtroon who has nostalgia for da older times
