Which intelligence subtype do you consider the most important?

I do believe that the spatial part of the IQ test has a connection to real life tasks requring spatial intelligence. Though you can probably get a better idea of spatial intelligence by observing people perform these tasks. Or you can look at performance in mathematics, physics, etc.. The core IQ criticism of people like Taleb goes in a different direction, from what I understand. I am skeptical of IQ worship, and yet I do not believe the test is 'random'.

Of course other factors play a role here also. I'm not claiming you need superhuman mental rotation skills, but having a deficit in these areas seems worse to me than having a deficit in other areas such as reading. Maybe I am wrong. Idk.

i just think it's an overrated buzzword people automatically spam in discussions like this

and it's absolutely hilarious to lump 2d matrices and 3d spatial "intelligence" together when matrices are 100% pattern recognition and 0% anything else. and if you say spatial intelligence also involves pattern recognition, by that standard, absolutely every human ability does

I never thought of a sophisticated defintion. Apparently Gary Kasparov scored low on spatial tasks in the IQ test he did for Spiegel. So, it does not seem to be as necessary in chess. They call it 'figural-bildhaftes-Denken'. https://www.spiegel.de/politik/genieblitze-und-blackouts-a-1a1cbaba-0002-0001-0000-000013526693

I always thought spacial IQ was like physical coordination and reaction time
I mean I've never seen a downs syndrome person person do a kickflip
