the test results came back

ethanol or whatever 404

all liver enzymes within a normal range, after being 2 x the maximum normal value 18 months ago

What

only cholesterol is above normal, which is inevitable considering how overweight i am, but this is still insane

i think it's just shitty quality of the tests they are using, because this was done at my gp and it was the most basic test there is

there is just 0 chance my liver is in a better state than a year and something ago considering i went from drinking cheap wine to drinking just as much 40fucking% alcohol. this is just the most basic test they do at your request at your local gp, so the results are probably varying too much and are almost random, no one even needs to mess something up

i get that this shit isnt linear, but there is no way i went from having like 20 values way higher than normal to only having slightly elevated cholesterol. i'm also a little bit fatter and did 0 exercise or change in diet in the mean time.

i could pay for better tests at some private clinic, but i just dont care that much

Quote:[*]kidney function is excellent,
[*]blood counts are preserved,
[*]liver enzymes are mostly normal,
[*]no anemia is present.

Quote:Urinalysis
Generally very good.
  • Protein: negative
  • Blood: negative
  • Leukocytes: negative
  • Nitrites: negative
  • Ketones: negative
No evidence of:
  • kidney damage,
  • urinary infection,
  • diabetes-related glucose spilling.

Quote:Liver and pancreas
AST
  • 33 U/L (normal)
ALT
  • 41 U/L (normal, near upper half)
GGT
  • 87 U/L (reference 11–55) ↑
This is the most notable liver-related abnormality.

THIS SHIT WAS 85/97/220 THE LAST TIME, AND I DOUBLED DOWN ON DRINKING AND EATING LIKE SHIT SINCE THEN

HOLY GENETIC MARVEL

Quote:Most of the findings are reassuring:
  • Complete blood count is normal.
  • Kidney function is normal.
  • Liver enzymes are normal.
  • No signs of urinary tract infection.
  • No signs of anemia.
  • No signs of acute inflammation.
There are a few minor abnormalities worth noting.

Quote:HDL = 2.0 mmol/L
This is unusually good.
Many overweight men have HDL around 1.0–1.2.

Quote:The combination of:
  • Glucose 4.3
  • Creatinine 87
  • eGFR 98
  • HDL 2.0
  • Hemoglobin 151
suggests that despite being overweight, you have not yet developed many of the common downstream complications (diabetes, kidney impairment, severe metabolic syndrome).

(overweight = 30+ excess kilos of fat for almost 5 years now, and 15-20+ 3 years prior to that, so it's more like disgustingly obese)

of course, what's the point without that and, generally, asking for a review while lying about any info

i just covered personal details like name and uploaded the tests
