Yeah. Back when my dad served it was 2.5 years, now it's only 1 but even that's way too much. I think mandatory conscription is a form of buck-breaking in modern society. They really trying to make that in muh ancient Athens argument, leaving out that we are not the citizens equivalent but the slaves!

My cousin really played himself because he served when it was a record 13 months (2000).

Then it got dialed back to 9, 6, 3 and finally dropped around 2009.

But now Adolph Vucic wants to reinstate it in 2027. I feel bad for my peers that have kids, whose kids will now have to serve Adolph Vucic.
