My first contact with hitman was downloading the demo for hitman 2 silent assassin in 2002 when I was 38. I purchased hitman 3 and 4(blood money) which is imo.the peak of the series. I think they did a reboot or something after it looked like a game designed by Michael Bay so I skipped that one. The current iteration of hitman is more like blood money but also feels more cartoony and simplified. It tells you what to do gives you too many clues and holds your hand

You must be referring to the new series they did. I think I played the first part of it. I'm more familiar with the hitman games from the early 2000s
