not even trying to look at porn, just googling questions that come up and prefer to see answers from real people on a forum instead of ads/bots. plenty of basic subreddits get marked as mature content because otherwise it's more work for moderators

reddit usually doesn't let you view anything if you are logged out and use a VPN (which I always am)

and to register an account you'd have to use clean email and IP address so there goes your privacy

if you care about privacy just don't use reddit i'd say
