Is there anymore more cringe and pathetic that objectively talentless people spending decades toiling away at art and music thinking they'll get lucky and be discovered or have an eureka moment?
Especially when they comfort themselves with copes like "you do art for yourself", "art for arts sake" as if any of the great artists would ever fuck around with art if there weren't an audience. Commercially and generally. But some 50 year old guy who has never written a listenable piece who spent decades struggling to understand and do what a 16 year old talented player has done in half a week is doing it because of a compulsion to express himself to the ether lol 😂 The idea that art doesn't exist for social purpose is such massive cope. Even at its most fundamental biological level, art is made for observation by others. Ie animals that create symmetrical structures to attract mates. There honestly should be some.kind of intervention or state mandated diversion program because artist cope is like a drug to some.of these people. It offers them a delusional escape from reality which is that they are not creative or talented and should just relax and do normal things in life

Good artist attract notice, attention, status, praise, wealth
Bad artist see that, but doesn't have talent to attain So they create muh art is subjective cope Truth, beauty, goodness are all objective things. We know this from observing nature and reality.

Every aspect of midwitocracy is about mass media and academia promoted scams and propaganda designed for the sole purpose of diverting money from the meritorious and deserving towards pure blackholes of talent. This is why artsy fartsy types hate wall street and capitalism. It represents the opposite of what they do. Business tycoons actively nurture and encourage the best and brightest by divesting the wasteful and inefficient towards the productive and purposeful. Under capitalism the untalented are punished mercilessly. Mixed economies of the modern west arose as a reaction to the darwinian nature of and perceived cruelty of tycoonism. Where cubism, dadaism, constructivism thrived was under the auspices of communism. the obliteration of natural hierarchies, of traditional values of beauty and order which acted as a bulwark against rampant social and cultural decay now gave way to the elevation of the ugly and mundane to the status of the sublime and heroic. Bronze statues of obese women and drug addled criminals where generals and civic leaders once stood are it's direct legacy

Art is just demonstration of genetic fitness like. Lot of hobbies turned profession are. It provides dopamine because you feel like you are closer to mating as a result.
It's a visual memory recall exercise. Good memory=accuracy precision and detail. Abstract art is just low fidelity art. It's what happens when too much effort is required so you just say fuck it and splatter paint then call it a new way of seeing the world or some other mumbo jumbo ![]() Tldr people do art in order to show off. Abstract artists attempt to subvert this process. Abstract art=dysgenics

Not saying Picassos of this world can't do good art, it just takes them 10x the effort of an average working artist. Obviously they would rather have the prestige and status plus wealth of an artist circa 1900 before it lost all credibility than what their conman iq actually brings them in life.
Average 14 year old on deviant art or Youtube art channel legit has more skill talent creativity and imagination than a hundred jackson pillocks. Abstract art=cheating genetics. Very dysgenic. 1:1 relation between abstract art cultural prominence and being an unlivable shit hole society tbh. India is abstract art capital of the world. A masterpiece on every ditch and street corner

Here's my tip to distinguish bad art from good art. Good art deals with universal themes and subjects yet are very precise and particular in how it conveys its message regarding these subjects.
Bad art is vague and indistinguishable. It relies on the viewer to come up with their own interpretation and has no identifiable key or pattern by which you can figure out it's underlying message if indeed any even exists. It's a self indulgent tour of the artist's mind but it's empty. A good example is david lynches movies, once you figure it out there is no other possible explanation. There is an intended message and it may not be a complex one, but the journey towards understanding that message opens your mind to many ideas and possibilities. His paintings on the other hand is just pastiche of france's bacon with no deeper meaning beyond that. And anyone who claims they are able to decipher or derive something from his paintings is just obvious full of shit and trying to appear like they know something you don't

Yeah on the surface they're either a very simple crime story or complete disjointed mystery, but once you figure out the chronological sequences and understand the meaning of certain details it is very rewarding
