Language barrier restricts access to whole new worlds out there, in general. 

I mean, if I spoke for example polish or turkish that wouldn't be of any interest to me at all. But e.g. japanese or chinese unlocks the door to a whole new planet.

Yeah, if I had to learn a new language, I'd pick a widely used or useful one

Spanish, Mandarin, German etc..
