I keep posting memes on a dead discord server along with that one NPC guy who doesn't interact with me

I've been on that server since 2018, it started dying down from 2020 or so, and now the only activity is me and one other guy posting memes in one of the channels.

I don't know why I am still doing this, I guess it has become some kind of ritual to me. I sometimes add laugh emoji to the other guy's memes, I'm not sure he even is aware that I'm posting along with him tho. 

His activity resembles that of a videogame NPC. You log in, he is there, you log off, you know he is still there doing the thing. Idk man.

During that span of time: I cut off from my irl friends, I withdrew from a bunch of online communities where I was active and had friends, I stopped talking to my family, I left all manosphere spaces, I flushed my entire social network down the drain for good. Yet I keep posting memes along with that guy. It's the only thing that remained consistent. Oh and it's not anything funny, more like shitty stuff I come across on reddit 4chan etc. It's more of a gesture towards the other guy that you know, you are not alone and this entire thing is not futile because Im still here.
