Agree but european food is generally shit tbh. The others you listed are barely better. The best thing ive ever eaten was some weird ass mystery meat dumpling in indonesia unironically.

Not only shitalian food is profoundly mediocre, but most of its famous dishes were not invented by shitalians themselves; pizza is basically an american invention; neapolitan pizzas prior to 1920's were just oven baked flatbread with random toppings, traditional pasta dishes that trace back to middle ages are bland, only using cheese black pepper and olive oil; actually flavorful pastas like Carbonara was invented by American soldiers stationed in Italy post-WW2 (it's literally bacon and eggs pasta), not to mention their meat and fish scene is pretty boring too. Their coffee culture is inferior to Balkan-Middle Eastern coffee culture, their desserts are just ladyfingers bought from a supermarket with some cocoa dust; their dessert scene gets mogged by Balkan-Middle Eastern bad boys as well (trileche, baklava, kunafah, lokum, sharbats + trillion other desserts whose names i can't remember). Their wines are shit, their beers are painfully bad, their olive oils get mogged by Greeks and Spaniards again, They don't have any pastry, no bread, etc
Daily reminder that before baby boomers nobody cared about shitalian cuisine, they cared about French cuisine. American boomers popularized shitalian cuisine because muh pizza and pasta. I'm also quite annoyed by the shitalians over the top pride in their shitty stolen food

Italy and Italian culture literally doesn't exist, the north and south are completely different worlds. Tiny example: the area of the city of Bologna originally speaks the Emilian language, which is a Gallo-Romance language, and that makes it closer to the Northern French or even Catalonian than the Florentian (their dialect was the basis of standard Italian today) just at the south of their border, jfl

The country (not the nation state) of Italy started at the Rubicon river and ended at Calabria, this leaves out the North and Sicily, both which was much more similiar to Western Europe and Northern Africa respectively. Italy is a fake and unorganic country is what I'm saying By the way it's worth mentioning that even in the Republican Rome the native Italians (samnites, umbrians, sabines, etruscans etc.) were perceived as aliens by the actual ethnic Romans, as the Romans traced their lineage back to the Trojan settlers in Alba Longa and saw themselves as foreign settlers on Latium and all of Italy. Of course by the Imperial age the senate started handing out citizenship to every rich foreigner inside the empire so their citizenship stopped being an ethnic one, so the name of "Roman" was rendered worthless

don't they massively overlap anyways

At least they don't use a lot of unnecessary spices and sauces like those hardcore ethnics do
