I don't think I've slept for more than 2 hours on any given day this week

And it's 3 am and I spent God knows how long lying down on the dark fidgeting with thoughts racing, unable to sleep

I'd study but it'd take me 3x the effort to get through any single given topic VS if I were just normal and not a zombie. I'm basically ultra retarded right now and there's nothing I can do about it

I also tried going to a doctor and I was just prescribed SSRIs, benzos and TCAs. Benzos require me to take a higher dose than they give to actually knock me out but I wake up feeling like I haven't slept at all. SSRIs made me gain 6 kilos in a week and gave me extreme anhedonia, TCAs are complete garbage that'll nuke your body.

I did do a sleep test and I was diagnosed with other problems that could lead to sleep disorders but I've never been "holistically" treated or I've never had a doctor try to just fix my insomnia as an isolated problem despite asking.

Feeling energetic with hardly any sleep is normal

No I feel like utter shit and I have bloodshot eyes

The few hours I get per day is barely even "real" sleep if you know what I mean. I wake up on my own after a while, it feels more like a nap. I doubt I'm getting any REM, if that's possible.
