Holy shit. 
The psychological trauma I had to endure, being manipulated and gaslit into believing that being “good” matters or that people should treat each other with kindness, that there is a god who “loves” you, implicitly being taught people are “good” at heart, and more! It was all bound to make a victim of me. 
This world is a violent and brutal competition. Civilization is just nature in a dress. There is no love, no friendship, no kindness, no empathy, and certainly no reward for following the rules.
