It's bullshit. There are 0 opportunities. If you get away with something it's because witnesses were morons/absent because they were morons. There is no way to commit a priori deductively unsolvable crime. If you use a vehicle to escape you will always be tracked. The only way is to lockpick someone's apartment door since you can see who's watching you but at that point you're picking targets at random. There is no way to track someone to their apartment safely.
