the motte-and-bailey fallacy is a far-left favourite

straight from the niggerloving book of deceptions

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motte-and-bailey_fallacy

prime example

"The great replacement is just a crazy conspiracy, but having our countries become diverse with natives potentially turning into minority is not a bad thing."

what this does? It hides a highly controversial claim (being replaced isn't bad - bailey) behind a modest, easier to defend argument (prediction about future demographics is up in the air - motte).

That way they cowardly progress to their controversial point/bailey (replacement is ok) while retreating to their easier to defend point/motte (replacement is a conspiracy so stop being concerned) when they are being contested.

One of the biggest bitch made argument tactics I've seen. Thoughts?

I have never seen it addressed like this, its usually the batshit crazy left wingers who have hard on for globo homo or those who think the great replacement is just a meme. In fact those who are for diversity usually talk about rome or something lol as if a few egyptians who assimilated somewhat are a point in case for en masse immigration

If you think replacement is a conspiracy then why would you even need to mention whether you think its good or bad. Because you think it's not happening.

If you think replacement is not a conspiracy only then can you start talking whether you think its good or bad.

I think its less motte and bailey and more ragelight and gasbait.

your mind is so warped up by frankist kabbalism that you think conspiracy means fake, you dont know the meaning of the word itself

keep buttsquealing about valentinian gnosticism and sucking freemason toes. anyone worth anything knows that no conspiracies are true, but that the most dangerous conspiracy is the conspiracy that there are no conspiracies. regardless i didn't even say whether i thought great replacement is fake

it doesnt matter that you didnt say your personal opinion about it, you still made a comment that is context dependent to ops example and you unawarely revealed something about how deep your conditioning is by associating ''conspiracy'' to something that is necessarily false

let's just say: i am a much more creative and clever conspirator and conspiracy theorist (that's right--both at once) than you are

This is a very common thing normies commonly use to argue, not specifically far left

Actually, most argumentative tactics in general done by normies will leave you with either a headache or a "what the fuck are you even saying" impression.

The average person is braindead
