Who in their right mind would be using an un-altered, un-forked, binary Firefox download from Mozilla anytime in the past several years? You’ve got to at least be using an Arkenfox user.js or one of the privatized forks like Mullvad or you are just sending all kinds of data by default to Mozilla through their telemetry and to Google through their search and “safe browsing”.

Nothing new here, move along.

how is it "nothing new" when their entire brand is built around not giving your data away

if use a fork instead, the same question is raised. I will be switching to TOR.

This winter I received 20 calls from callcenters with a Russian accent asking me to invest

"You left your data, asking for way to earn extra income."

So either some company sold my contact, or a disgruntled former girlfriend

I used gnome browser while I was still on Linux. Worked flawlessly but switched to chrome, Firefox and brave as of recent.

Might be time to head back. The bloat on a clean install is annoying and the lack of customization without installing shitty overlays is killing me.

What's that

My goal is that the owner of the forum can't identify my ISP and then phone them up to complain as they've done in 2022

Also in the initial step of registering, it seems to recognize a VPN, so that's why I need someone else's wifi

It's a proxy that seems like a real person. Can't be detected unless they use cookie fingerprinting which is very easy to avoid.

You will basically seem as if though you are registering from anither olace of residence in Serbia ir whichever country you want.

whether they fullfill their commitment or not is based on good faith

and that's exactly the issue I'm raising here, the trust for the company
