99% of the appeal of those fairytale belief systems is in the concept of heaven/afterlife, though

and its honest interpretation is a pretty worldly one, with virgin jbs, gold and all that. nobody gives 2 shits about becoming "one with the universe" or whichever mental gymnastics are god's messengers preaching

but you cant get this out of your brain by volition, you're either wired to genuinely believe in it or you aren't
