I'll listen to this song again and see if it does anything to me
I've been pretty emotionally dead since returning from my vacation
All I know is I can name 5 Zayn songs and 5 Sia songs that were more memorable to me than this one

You may say it's a guilty pleasure, but if someone told me "my favorite song is some normie radio pop garbage", I would think lower of them.
Nothing wrong with enjoying it in private, but with your intellectual personae, you'll come across like an idiot savant. They'll think you have no understanding of music.

elitism regarding music taste is just a rationalization of one's low social status

There's nothing wrong with enjoying generic radio pop. However it's like junkfood. It's not elitism to say that a steak from a good chef is superior to a 5 minute microwave dinner from the supermarket.

i listen to most mainstream artists, it's just that i m old and she blew up too late. i just stick with mainstream performers i listened to until the age of 18 or so, and dont have so much interest in music to follow the trends year by year

I mean, you seem to put considerable effort into coming up with "the right answer" to such a question. If you were to answer from the heart, you wouldn't have to think that much. But it's look you're trying to pick an answer that would leave a certain impression.
