Why are potatoes such an elite hangover cure?

I was drinking all afternoon and evening yesterday, because I was out of my medication, and was hungover from Sunday. Ate a whole potato (w cheese) before falling asleep, and woke up feeling fantastic. I love potatoes, they’re gods gift to man. A man simply can’t live without his potatoes. A potato will never cheat on you. Sorry for this shitpost
