is how good non-native english speakers are able to write/communicate in english. i'm genuinely impressed considering we have people from all walks of life and different nationalities -- greece, iran, croatia, germany, bulgaria, turkey, ...
and they're just as able (if not better) at getting their points across coherently using a wide array of vocabulary as/than native english speakers.
and for some reason, it's typically been people on these psl forums who have best adapted to the environment and conversational english. you can usually tell who aren't native english speakers on other forums.
so what's your secret? or did you just learn english at school? i'm convinced all of you guys have at least a 3 digit IQ score but definitely talented in this regard
tagging such international users on the top of my head

I am from Malaysia!
My English is pretty good even relative to where I live though, I read alot of books and consume alot of western media, especially cartoons when I was young.
Though my parents still talk to me in my native language Tamil and my friends speak Chinese while my national language is Malay.
I wish I put more points into Mandarin rather than English.
I also think my intelligence is average so there's a chance I am double digit IQ

people who learn a language from school and textbooks always sound robotic at best and generally bumbling ESL wordslop idiots
people who learn a language from tiktok, youtube, anime, porn and internet posting are generally the most articulate

the most important component of language is arguably not the words themselves, but characteristic patterns of intonation, body language, emphases etc...and these are not conveyed through text alone. A lot of people contextually use less "articulate" means of speech to more accurately communicate their emotion and they can do this because native speakers have this kind of sympathetic or corporeal knowledge. You can only really master that in your native language. So what might appear on the surface to be a less articulate statement is just one that is unconsciously designed as to best communicate their intention or emotion, the surface level articulation or class character of the speech be damned. The words are a means not an end. Whereas someone ESL will naturally have a more schematic understanding of the language. For them words are both means and end. For example it was only by learning French that I learned the kinds of grammar terminology that we also use for things in English, but it's just so commonplace to be invisible for better or worse.

english is still the most versatile language there is and likely to be the global language (technically is), that is if we continue moving towards a globalist world. and there's always a market for ESL in foreign countries or interpretation so you can always fall back on that, provided you can speak the language just as well
also are most indo-malays from that tamil nadu region? i guess it makes sense considering proximity.

Indo-malays are from SEA themselves actually, only the South Indians here are form Tamil Nadu, some from Kerala. The Chinese are mostly of southern descent.
As for the globalist thing, one thing that is interesting is studying abroad has become less popular and alot of the people here choose to study in places like Taiwan rather than Western countries due to the decline in Western reputation and living conditions ( news of riots, high crime, high cost of safety etc. ) compared to back home
