dreams are fake - they don't actually exist
#1
why has everyone been fooled into thinking dreams are real things? it's just our confused brains making shit up after resting for the night. we never actually experienced the dream - but our brain thinks that we did retroactively.

but muh electrical activity and mri scans. I'm not denying that our brains are active during sleep. and clearly the retroactively implanted memories will match up with the areas and emotions of the brain activated during sleep - they are the basis for the creation of these fake stories afterall

But people talk in their sleep while they are experiencing the dream, and have surge of adrenaline during nightmares.

That's like saying that daydreams aren't real, and that your brain is just making up a dialogue afterwards to explain the temporarily lapse in awareness.
You can also wake up mid-dream and be aware that the dream was ended prematurely.

Unless I'm misunderstanding your post.

That's just the brain preparing the dream memories (which never get experienced)

Nah daydreams are clearly real, dumbass

True but that's a bit too silly. We're staying away from farfetched conjecture here
