[BBC] just watched dune 2. it's a solid 8/10

couldn't fully immerse myself because two fucking retards behind me were coughing and talking the entire time. might watch it again but in a fully empty cinema.

basically paul (timothy chalamet) becomes a god and rallies all the fremen to btfo the empire and harkonnens, movie ends with the fremen leaving arakis to wage jihad against all the other planets

the tone of the movie was pretty consistent,  just a 3 hour build up of paul and his milf mom rallying all the fremen with one or two funny moments

second movie looks pozzed, made zendaya the main character while chalamet looks like her gay servant boy in the background

it's not political, the only part that could be interpreted as making a statement is when the fremen say only a woman can drink the water of life and not die, but that's faithful to the book and paul drinks it anyway and sees into the future

it's better than the first, imo. zendaya is a cunt in it, but it's good aside from that

their suits look different in the second movie, but his performance was fine anyway. he's not supposed to be super strong, he's a good fighter because he has precognition
