they either register minor movements as steps or skip minutes of walking, no matter which sensitivity level you choose in settings
counted 50-80 steps in my head today, checked the figure in the app and it was at least 20-30% off every time
might as well throw out random numbers

There should be a Strava for running.
Are you trying to count your regular day steps or something like a morning run at a river/lake/beach/forest? First one would be a very aids gay thing to do.

I already told you. Also to that obese indian retard who keeps thinking 28k steps a day is plausible.

yeah, i had that on my mind when posting this
would be fine if you could counteract the inflation by setting it to minimum sensitivity, but then it doesn't even activate most of the time, even during continuous, uninterrupted fast walks outside
need to find a better metric for my physical activity instead of obsessing over this like a retard

Why would you monitor your regular daily movement. Counting them won't make it burn extra calories.

yeah, it's pathetic
typical "I want to get in shape, i'm willing to do absolutely everything except ... the only things that make a difference: being physically active and fixing my diet" MO

Smartwatches have a more accurate way of counting activity.
They have a better GPS system and work together with heart rate, so that if your heart rate is at a relaxation level, e.g. you are on a bus, the motion doesn't get counted as activity.
I got a smartwatch off of a 150 euro gift voucher for recycling a bunch of old electric devices that my parents had. It's still not fully accurate but closer to a real figure, if you care enough to track activity/calories (I don't).

yeah, i believe that's true. my mom bought one recently. but focusing on this in general is bs, i'm just trying to avoid putting meaningful effort into exercising
what's the point of even amassing legit 12-15k steps daily when your heart rate barely elevates during those walks? this is probably good for 68 yo people, but it's pointless for people younger than 40 unless they are legit at 37% or so bf

I believe it is valuable for the conditioning of your tendons, bones and muscle. Not necessarily 12k steps, but I'd argue doing 30-60 min a day is necessary.

the problem with using tracking devices and metrics for this sort of thing is that when you inevitably just give up for a day to binge drink or something the amount of effort it takes to restart stops you for a long time
ideally you would just unconsciously wander about like a dumb beast for a few hours or be forced into it out of poverty

They’re doing a study on him, it’s called ‘just how lazy are fat larping bums?’
